UK celebrant for wedding ceremonies

Hi!
I'm Rosie, a fully qualified Independent Celebrant.

There’s no doubt that I’m a ‘glass half full’ type of person, with a big heart and a genuine interest in making others happy!

Writing creatively comes naturally to me and I’ve also had years of experience of public speaking, so I’m now putting these skills to good use in order to create wonderful, bespoke ceremonies especially for you!

"Well, it has to be said, I do enjoy a good party! From the planning, right through to being the last person to leave, I love every second and will always find a good reason for a celebration.....and a glass of fizz!

I was brought up in beautiful North Wales and then left to work in America when my career in travel began.

Work then took me to Reigate in Surrey, followed by Thame in Oxfordshire.

I have recently returned to North Wales and I’m enjoying every minute of the sea air, which I didn’t appreciate when growing up here.

I’m very fortunate to have travelled the world and have worked in the customer service industry since the age of sixteen when I landed my first part time job at a local holiday camp.

My first ‘proper job’ was a medical secretary, but I knew a career in an office wasn’t for me, so I applied to work on the cruise ships and off I went to Alaska and the Caribbean, making many new friends along the way.

I then landed my dream job as a flight attendant for British Airways and enjoyed 23 years travelling the world and meeting lots of incredibly interesting people along the way.

Event work and raising money for charity are also my thing. I have hosted many charity events which I have loved being a part of.

Travel and people are my passions and though I’ve learned a lot through my experiences, I genuinely believe that, no matter how old we are, we never stop learning!

I decided to become a Celebrant after needing one myself when I was proposed to at the finish line of the New York Marathon in November 2015! Simply the best surprise ever and a tick in the box of life, on both counts!

I enjoy running, walking, football, rugby and entertaining……..oh and partying. I am definitely a party girl!”

How did I become a Celebrant?....

Having planned my own wedding on a Greek island not so long ago, I realised that a Celebrant-led ceremony could make all the difference in creating a truly unique event and allow myself and my husband to be, to have the beautiful, beachfront, sunset wedding that we really wanted.

We completed all our legal paperwork in the UK, before heading to Greece, where we were then free to enjoy our romantic ceremony with the exchange of rings, in front of all of our friends and family who had travelled to the island to support us.

It really was truly magical and the best day of our lives!

Since then, I knew that I wanted to become a Celebrant, in order to create such warm and joyous occasions for others, without any rules or regulations, just the freedom of holding the ceremony wherever you choose and tailoring it specifically to your ideas, no matter how mainstream or different they may be.

I am now a proud member of The Fellowship Of Professional Celebrants, after successfully completing my training and I really want to listen to your story and hear all about ‘you’.  Together, we can create your own unique ceremony, that’s tailored to your very individual needs and be an occasion that you will treasure forever.

I cannot wait to hear from you and see your dream ceremony through your eyes!
